"Why do you think you need an ECU ?"
Does your Fuel Pump 'Cycle Up' for 3-seconds when you first turn on the Key ?
If No, it is possible the 18th wire of the Black ECU Plug (Memory Wire) Purple or Red does not have
a Positive 12 volts to this wire 24/7, Key Off or On. Unplug or Probe into to check.
That power starts from the Fuse/Relay Box, Middle Plug, Purple Wire, 5amp Fuse.
If Yes, the Crank Position Sensor (Trigger) is #1 Failure for this similar problem.
